Frequently asked questions
What is Principled Leadership?
Principled leadership applies key concepts from Bowen Family Systems Theory to organizational life, emphasizing self-leadership, thoughtful responses over emotional reactions, understanding of system dynamics, and a long-term view of change.
How long does a typical consulting engagement last?
The initial consulting phase—including the system assessment and development of a recommendations report—typically lasts 6–12 weeks, depending on the size and scope of the organization. Implementing the recommendations is a separate phase that generally spans six months to one year.
What makes your approach different?
Our approach helps leaders address the root dynamics beneath surface-level problems and conflicts—issues that often go overlooked when organizations focus only on symptoms. We also equip individuals at every level, regardless of role or authority, to influence the system toward greater relational health and maturity.
Do you offer virtual or in-person services?
The initial consulting phase is conducted in person, and it is preferred to conduct all follow-up coaching and consultation in person as well. However, virtual meetings and coaching sessions are available as needed during the implementation phase.
